Driven by their commitment to deliver high quality yet affordable services, safe workplaces, merit-based opportunities, and reasonable returns for business partners and investors, the company has established itself as a key player in various industries, including infrastructure development, utilities, and healthcare. With the aim to solve the various challenges brought by the pandemic, the client aimed to establish a seamless and integrated healthcare platform that bridged the gap between and within healthcare providers and patients. Barleeblue developed a unified and fully integrated healthcare ecosystem that caters to various aspects of health and wellness.
The Challenge
The company wanted to establish a unified platform that provides a holistic set of healthcare services that addressed the new wave of challenges brought by the global pandemic after seeing the success of Alibaba Health. With reduced capacities and income across the industries that they were engaged in, the client needed an additional revenue stream that would either be unaffected by the pandemic or thrive in the current market conditions. They had a host of healthcare partners and services – such as hospitals, clinics, teleconsultation, tele pharmacies, specialist services, and HMOs to name a few – that could address patient needs and provide the much-needed revenue, but they were fragmented at the time, which resulted in higher overall costs for the company and reduced the gains from increased business in the healthcare industry.
The Barleeblue Approach
Barleeblue connected the client’s different healthcare businesses and partners by integrating the slew of fragmented healthcare and business systems onto the Barleeblue platform. The system architecture established the critical integration of both the physical and the virtual elements of the healthcare ecosystem journey, providing a seamless and complete customer experience. With the fragmented businesses integrated, new revenue streams were opened to the client as more business cases were made possible by the collaboration between healthcare providers. Artificial Intelligence was incorporated in the solution to perform predictive analysis on what patients would need after their treatments based on patient information aggregated on the platform. Data Analytics were enabled in the system to gather and generate powerful insights into customer trends and behaviors. The platform enabled the company to engage in connected commerce operations.
The Benefits
The healthcare platform was released to the public and immediately became the fastest growing health app in the country, with over a million downloads across iOS and Android. Business growth was enabled through the shift of existing spend in out-of-pocket healthcare expenses into business lines enabled by the ecosystem that are not easily accessible to consumers. With connected commerce operations facilitated through the platform, the client also obtained an additional revenue stream in their core market while still mitigating the risks presented by the pandemic.
